1 tablespoon butter
1/2 yellow onion, diced
Pinch salt
2 slices white bread (heels are great for this)
1 egg
1 pouch dried onion soup mix
1/2 cup ketchup, plus more for glazing
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
Heat traeger to 250. Spray a disposable 8 inch square pan with cooking spray.
Heat butter in skillet. Add onion and salt. Sautee until golden. Add to large bowl and set aside.
In a food processor, process the bread until fine crumbs form. Add to the bowl with the onions. Add the egg, soup mix, ketchup, and beef, and mix until we'll combined.
Form loaf in the center of the disposable pan (room around the sides for the grease to drain). Brush the top with more ketchup.
Smoke ar 250 for 2 to 2 1/2 hours until the internal temperature is 160. Let rest 15 minutes, then slice and serve.
